EMCO: emco AP 500-M6 solution

Moisture determination technology for waste paper with automatic data transfer

The emco AP 500-M6 solution is a web-based measurement technology for mobile paper moisture determination of recovered paper bales. A measurement job is opened via barcode reader or a waste paper bale is selected for measurement by RFID reader. The moisture meter determines the absolute humidity in waste paper by simple pressing. This moisture content allows a water-precise billing of a waste paper delivery and improves the economy of the recovered paper preparation. At the same time a complaint of too wet bales prevents not only costs but also unpleasant consequences such as rot or heat.

The measured values are provided with user-identifier, device number, date, time as well as location (GPS) and are transmitted wireless and encrypted to a database. The database evaluation checks reliability and plausibility of the data. Several locations could be merged into one database. Administrators can manage users, devices and locations. With this new system a secure, manipulation-free and transparent recovered paper management system is possible for all parties. The database is prepared to receive more information about the job or bales, such as the weight.

Features
Automated moisture determination technology
Lightweight, robust and mobile: attaching – reading – data transfer – management
Quick, non-destructive determination of the absolute humidity of waste paper up to depth of 500 mm
Pre-programmed calibrated for different materials and bale densities
Digital displaying in “%” water content (weight percentage)
Temperature measuring value for each moisture measuring value
Temperature compensation of the moisture value
Automatic detection of the location (GPS)
Manipulation-free documentation of operator name, serial number, date, time and location for each measurement in a database:
Barcode scanner automates job entry and identification
RFID reader automates bale numbering and identification
Data pre-processing and labelling of faulty measurements
Encrypted data transmission
Central management of locations, operators and devices
No manipulation or input errors possible
Complete documentation ensures traceability
Transparency by objective information of all involved parties
